Beef For Sale

Beef For Sale

In the Spring and Autumn we sell fresh vacuum packed Hereford Beef from the farm in pre-ordered 5kg, 10kg, 20kg and 40kg boxes, consisting of a variety of cuts.

The cattle are slaughtered at local abattoir HG Blakes, Norwich, hung for approximately three weeks and processed and packed by Clarkes Farmers Butchery, Bramfield.

The meat is produced from our suckler herd of pedigree Herefords. Cows calve once a year, the calf stays with it’s mother for approximately 9 months and is usually slaughtered at 18 to 22 months. The cattle graze the pasture surrounding our free range chicken units and are overwintered in our purpose built cattle sheds. In the winter the cattle are fed our own baled silage. Youngstock and animals that are being fattened also receive some feed mix as required.

We are delighted to have won the Midlands and East Anglia Hereford Breeders’ Association Steak Competition in 2017! We entered two steaks, one won the hung over 28 days section and the other won the under 28 days section and they were placed first and second overall.

We feel our meat is succulent and flavoursome – a high end traditional product which has been appreciated by our customers.

“We had one of our packs of sirloin steak tonight, and it really was some of the best steak we’ve had for a long while.”

Details of our boxes

If you are interested in purchasing our beef boxes please contact us asking to join our beef mailing list. You will then be emailed details of when meat is available. We usually do two orders a year, one in the Spring and one in the Autumn.
