One of our polled families, our Curly family came from Michael Clark’s Lowesmoor herd.

A standout as a calf, we calved Curly 6th as 2 years, rather than our usual 2 and a half. At the time of writing, her 200, 400 and 600 day weights are all in the top 1% of the breed.

A great example of a Romany 1 Machine daughter – beefy and milky with excellent teats, Curly is one of our best polled breeding cows and has been successfully flushed.  We were very pleased when her first calf was exported to Henning and Jytte Have, Nordbaek Herefords, Denmark. Her second heifer calf,  Pulham 1 Curly 6th , sired by Appel 1 Kaboom was a standout and has been retained. The combination was so good we repeated it twice which produced a heifer we successfully showed in 2023 and a bull, Pulham 1 Achilles, who was Res. Senior Male Champion at the Shrewsbury Calf Show 2023.
