This cow is really special and is one of our favourites. Known on the farm as “Phil’s Diadem”. Diadem is dark in colour with beautiful markings. Her first calf, a bull, was sold for breeding. Her second calf was our 2023 Designer Genes heifer. We only enter our best heifers into this sale and Pulham Diadem 10th was no exception. At the sale she didn’t quite make her reserve and whilst we had enquires after the sale we decided to keep her in the herd. Pulham Diadem 4th’s third calf is another heifer who is one to watch, this time sired by our polled stock bull Solpoll 1 Sympa

A fantastic cow with great scale and volume and a lovely dark colour. We wanted to buy her from Rodney and Rose Westaway the first time we saw her, as a calf on her mother. Patience is a virtue and we didn’t hesitate when we got the opportunity to purchase her 6 years later. We have flushed this cow and have embryo calves from her on the ground. One of these was Pulham Diadem 6th, arguably the best heifer we have bred to date. She won the best heifer calf award in the Midlands and East Anglia Herd Competition 2021 and sold at the 2021 Designer Genes Sale for a record breaking 13,000gns to Antony Whitfield.

A really impressive cow who always catches the eye. She has length, volume, an excellent back end and above all style. She has a Terminal Index of +40 and a Self Replacing Index of +48, both in the top 5% of the breed. In 2013 she was Res. Senior Female Champion at the National Hereford Show, Tenbury.
